Water Treatments
Our biggest challenge as fish Keepers is to create a 'natural' healthy environment in our ponds, where the correct balance of beneficial bacteria are allowed to develop and flourish. The pond and filters in time, will mature to give a balanced eco-system. If this is not achieved, toxic waste that the fish produce will not be effectively removed and will cause stress to the fish and weaken their immune system. This will lead to a reduction in their ability to fight off potential health problems. Growth and development are also adversly affected and in severe cases, fish losses will occur.
Our ponds are often overstocked, over fed and are treated with aggressive chemicals to kill parasites, fungal or bacterial infections. All of these have a detrimental effect on the balance of bacteria we are trying to maintain in our filters. Even a week on holiday with reduced feeding can cause the bacteria colony to die back. To assist our own eco-system, we can introduce and supplement the correct beneficial bacteria into our system to accelerate and maintain this natural balancing process. This in turn will lead to clear, well balanced water and healthier fish.

Chlor-go
Chlor-Go rapidly removes chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals such as zinc, copper and lead from tap water allowing fresh tap water to be added directly to the pond without putting fish in any danger from these potentially toxic substances. Chlor-Go has a calming effect on fish being transported, it should always be used in transportation bags and isolation tanks regardless of whether or not tap water has been used.

Anit-Foam
Anti-foam is non-toxic and can be used in any pond to eliminate the foam caused by a build up of by products of fish metabolism and during the breakdown of uneaten food and fish plant waste. Anti-foam is also useful for features such as fountains both indoors and out.

Blanket weed control
Algae can cause 'pea soup', blanket weed or floating scums. As well as looking unsightly, excessive algal growth, encouraged by surplus nutrients, can lead to de-oxygenation of water with a consequent detrimental effect on aquatic life.
Excessive algae forms when there are too many nutrients in the water, due to a build-up of organic matter (sludge) on the bottom, fertilisers leaching into the pond or regular topping up with tapwater. We have a range of of treatments that can help you keep blanket weed at bay.

Cloverleaf Blanket answer
Blanket Answer is a unique blend of minerals and enzymes to combat blanket weed the nightmare curse of many a pondkeeper. The special formula produced in the Netherlands works in all temperatures, and seeks to succeed where many commercial bacteria cultures will fail. It is 100% safe for all pond fish, plants, and biological filtration systems. UV units need not be switched off. For persistent filamentous algae growth it is recommended that the pond be treated 8 times a year. This in itself will likely mean that the treatment over the course of a year will be cheaper than many similar competitive products.
