The Medikoi range should be used to help maintain resistance of fish to disease and to ensure colours have good definition, depth and strength. It is recommended Medikoi Health is fed for 3 weeks followed by Medikoi Beauty for 2 weeks and so on. This will give the immune system of your fish the challenge and routine to produce maximum receptors and immune response.
To add some variety to feeding time, it is recommended that treat products are fed in order to supplement the feeding regime. This can be achieved by using products such as Medikoi Balls and Medikoi Silkworm Pupae. Fish will enjoy the many nutritional benefits these supplement's promote, and will spend more time nearer the surface of the water.
The range is available in a 3mm floating Medikoi Junior pellet, and a 6mm floating Medikoi pellet.

Medikoi Beauty is the perfect food to use for improving colour and body shape. In order for Medikoi Health to work at its best its advised that after a feeding period of 3 weeks that the next two weeks Medikoi Beauty or Growth is fed. This will help to support your fish, every time you return back to feeding Medikoi Health.
Medikoi Beauty also contains a mid-protein level to provide a greater seasonal window in which the food can be fed. Medikoi Beauty contains Paprika which can enhances reds and make whites more stunning and generally improve the colour contrast in any colour combination. Medikoi Beauty also contains Mediclay, an ultra high purity montmorillonite clay. Natural clays have long been used to cleanse the digestive system and provide a rich source of natural organic acids. These humic and fulvic substances bind minerals such as calcium and magnesium and support their absorption into the cells making them more bio-available. The inclusion of Mediclay also helps the diet to be easily assimilated and metabolized by your fish resulting in maximum food conversion and minimum waste.
So, whilst the immune system is being rested, the digestive system is cleansed and absorption of minerals is being boosted.

Medikoi Growth has been scientifically formulated to provide the optimum level of healthy but rapid growth and low waste. The high protein level of 40% is partnered with a relatively higher oil content of 7.3%. The oil provides the energy source so that the maximum amount of protein can be used for growth but not too high so there is no oily slick. This highly digestible formulation ensures that there is much less waste as more of the food is metabolized by you fish. For best results feed Medikoi Growth in the warmer months when temperatures exceed 12 C and in conjunction with the Medikoi Health & Beauty programme.

Medikoi Health food is the best way to support the immune system of your fish. The unique ingredients ensure that Medikoi Health enables your fish to be at their healthiest. "Stimune" helps the fishes natural immune system to fight infection. The immune systems first line of defence against invading micro-organisms are white blood cells known as macrophages. Macrophages recognise foreign bodies including bacteria and parasites and engulf them before they can multiply and cause disease. "Stimune" is a beta-glucan which helps maintain large numbers of macrophages in the circulatory system.
Medikoi Health also contains a unique natural herbal formula developed in our laboratories which helps to maintain resistance to disease . Lemon skin, olive leaf and Artemesia all help maintain resistance to a wide variety of infections. Valerian root has been known for a long time to be an excellent sedative so helps to reduce stress. Other herbs in the formula also aid digestion.
Propolis is also included in Medikoi Health. Propolis is produced by honey bees to keep the hive free from infection. Propolis is, therefore, good for speeding recovery after infection.

Medikoi Wheatgerm with Garlic is formulated to protect your fish from parasites. Garlic is rich in sulphur containing compounds which give it it's characteristic smell. These compounds are known to have repellant properties. The volatile oils in garlic diffuse through the skin of the fish and into the mucus layer. Parasites which live in the mucus layer of the fish react to these compounds by swimming away from them.Fish are most vulnerable to parasitic attack when the water starts to warm up again in the spring and when new fish are introduced into the pond.
In the cooler times of the year when the fish in your pond are being given a rest from the rapid growth provided by higher protein diets, they should be fed Medikoi Wheatgerm with garlic.
Medikoi Wheatgerm with Garlic is very effective at stimulating the appetite. If fish have been moved or have "gone off their food" Medikoi Wheatgerm with Garlic can encourage them to feed again very quickly. When rapid growth is not a priority, Medikoi Wheatgerm with Garlic can be fed throughout the year.
