This filter unit is design to purify ALL the water entering your home. It can be simply installed inline with your existing water inlet to your home and it can be located in an shed/garage/or special housing unit. Your tap water will be as pure, clean and as safe as bottled water. With its low running cost and with no more need for bottled water the pay back on these filters is relatively short.

Filter details 

6 stage filter unit

o        2 x 5 micron cartridge filters

This acts a a pre-filter. It removes sediment, dust and other inpurities. There is a clear casing on these filter so you can see the dirt collecting and you know when the filter needs replacing.

 

o        2 x carbon blocks

This block carbon filter is composed of high-performance carbon that remove free chlorine, odor, organic contaminants, pesticides and chemicals that contributed to taste and odor.

 

o        60,000 or 40,000 gallon granular activated carbon filter

This granular activated carbon filter is specigically design for the purification of domestic tap water. It further removes chlorine, odor, trace metals, pesticides and chemicals that may cause a bad taste or are harmful when consumed. This filter will provide your home with 60,000 gallons/270,000 litres (or 40,000 gallons/180,000 litres) of water before the activated carbon will need replacing.

 

o       50 watt UV steriliser

This is the final stage of the filtration process. After all sediment, chemicals, and trace metals have been removed the water is passed through this 50 watt UV filter. This kills any remaining bacteria (E coli, Legonella), algae and parasites in free living or cyst forms (Cryptosporium). Although most are harmless, exposure to dangerous micro-organisms can result in severe illness. Especially vulnerable are elderly people, those with weakened immune systems, and children. The most effective way to destroy these organisms and prevent the potential for illness is through disinfection of your water at home using ultraviolet (UV) light. Connected to the water supply line in your home, ultraviolet disinfection provides a final barrier to these organisms for your entire house-hold. These UV systems require less energy than a typical household light bulb yet can disinfect the entire water flow to your home. Bulbs for these filters have a life span of approximately 6 months.
